On the concept of the Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, under the directions of the General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division, Major General Vajira Welagedara and close supervision of the Commander 241 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Chandra Abekoon, the Troops of 16 Sri Lanka National Guard organized an entertainment programme and Special Lunch for the Children of “Maranatha” and “Balduwar” Preschools at Annamale, Ampara.
Accordantly, the programme was conducted on Tuesday (04) in parallel with the “World Children’s day”. Before the programme starts, the preschools building were washed and entire garden cleaned up by the troops of 16 SLNG, for this programme 100 Children and 04 Numbers of Staff were benefited.
The Commanding Officer of 16 Sri Lanka National Guard, Major Manjula Alawaththa together with Officers and Other ranks were associated with the event.
