On the concept of the Commander, Security Forces - East Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, directions of the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General Shewanth Kulathunge and close supervision of the Commander, 231Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, troops of 11(V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Organized a dry ration and essential item donation programme at Sri Mangalarama Temple - Mangalagama, on Monday (03).
Accordantly, 75 dry ration packs worth of Rs 5000/= each were distributed among the families with an inadequate income and 30 essential item packs for labor worth of Rs 10,000/= each were distributed among the pregnant mothers, For this program 75 families and 30 Numbers of pregnant mothers were benefited.
Furthermore, 231 Infantry Brigade Civil affairs Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Dammika Weerasinghe, Officers and Other Ranks of 11 (V) SLSR, joined to make the event success.
