Major General Priyantha Jayawardane, Commander, Security Forces - East made a formal visit to the Battalion Training School, Thaulwewa under the SFHQ-East on Monday (19) where 2nd (V) Battalion of Gajaba Regiment troops are undergoing training.
On arrival, the visiting Commander, SF-East was greeted to a ‘Drive Pass’ saluteat the Battalion Training School entrance. During the visit, the Chief Instructor, Battalion Training School Thaulwewa briefly explained the visiting Senior Officer about the ongoing Battalion Training course in the school.
Moreover, addressing the troops, the Commander emphasized the importance of training, maintaining the discipline and behaving with responsibility to ensure the dignity of the Sri Lanka Army and to discharge duties with responsibility to uplift the standard of the Sri Lanka Army.
Finally, the visiting Commander had a word with course instructors regarding their training scheduled and requirements for the trainees.
Major General Sanath Aluvihare, General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division, Colonel Sujeewa Rathnayaka, Commander 221 Infantry Brigade together with Senior Officers, Officers and other ranks participated in the day’s event.
