In response to a request made by the Principles of the Vakarai Maha Vidyalaya and Kathiraweli Vigneshwaram Vidyalaya in Batticaloa district, the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Wasantha Hewage gave away the required trophies for their Annual Cricket Encounter, “Battle of Sunrise”.
The trophies (Worth of Rs 35000.00) were sponsored by the Dr V Ravikumar and it was officially handed over to the principals of the schools on 15th February 2022.
This programme was conducted on the direction of the Commander Security Force (East), Major General Lal Chandrasiri and it was supervised by the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division Major General Nalin Koswatte.
