COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (EAST) PAYS HIS MAIDEN FIELD VISIT TO 11 (V) SLSR

The Commander Security Force (East), Major General Lal Chandrasiri, upon his assumption of office recently, made his maiden visit to the Headquarters 11 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment located in 231 Infantry Brigade AOR on Sunday (26).

Commander Security Force (East) first arrived at the C Coy, B Coy and A Coy of 11 (V) SLSR, Palayadivaddi, Kokadicholei and Thalankuda respectively and inspected the administrative aspects as well as welfare facilities of the troops.

Meanwhile, the visiting Commander inspected the Periyakallar Road Block and gave necessary instructions for the troops.

On arrival at Headquarter 11 (V) SLSR premises, Commander Security Force (East) was received by the Commanding Officer of 11 (V) SLSR after the visiting Commander was greeted to a Drive Pass salute around the main entrance. As a symbol of memory, the Commander Security Force (East) was then invited to plant a sapling in front of the Headquarters office.

Subsequently, the Commander Security Force (East) took time off to mingle with the troops during the camp visit and inquired into their needs and other welfare measures and left a complementary remark on the visitors' book before the departure.
