The troops of 242 Infantry Brigade under command 24 Infantry Division launched a blood donation campign in response to a request made by Pothuvilbase hospital on 12 December 2021 at the 242 Infantry Brigade Headquarters premises.
05 officers and 74 soldiers volunteered to donate blood during the event. Commander 242 Infantry Brigade Brigadie rChandika Peris, Senior Officers of 24 Infantry Division, Commanding Officers, Staff Officers of 242 Infantry Brigade and troops joined the programme.
