One more newly constructed house was vested in a needy family by Security Force Headquarters (East) on Friday (29) in Minneriya area with the supervision of 23 Infantry Division.
The house, built by Army troops of 7 Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery under 233 Infantry Brigade was delivered to the recipient, Mrs P G Rohini Kumari Wickramapala of Maharathmale, Minneriya during a simple ceremony headed by the Commander Security Force (East), Major General Channa Weerasuriya.
The construction of the new house was completed with the assistance of 7 SLA troops under the close supervision of the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Chandana Harischandra and the funds for raw materials have been donated by the generous donors of the area following initiatives taken by the Security Force Headquarters (East).
Opening ceremony was attended by General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General Nalin Koswatta, Commander 233 Infantry Brigade Colonel Wasantha Hewage, CCCA SFHQ(E) Colonel Ushan Gunawardhana, Commanding Officer 7 SLA Lieutenant Colonel Chandana Harischandra, troops and a gathering of civilians living in the area.
