Under the direction of the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General K A N N Koswaththa RWP RSP ndu and with the supervision of the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade, Colonel RWK Hewage RWP RSP the troops of 7 Light Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery and 9 Field Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery organized a programme to distribute 100 dry ration packs (each worth of Rs. 7500.00) among100 needy families in Polonnaruwa District on 17 October 2021.
The programme was conducted with the sponsorship of Mr Supem De Silva from Rotary Club Colombo to facilitate for the needy families in Welikanda, Dimbulagala, Hinguraggoda and Medirigiriya, who have been affected by Covid-19 epidemic in the country.
General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General K A N N Koswaththa RWP RSP ndu, Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Colonel RWK Hewage RWP RSP, Civil Affairs Officers of 23 Infantry Division, Officers and Other Ranks of 7 SLA and 9 SLA joined with the programme.
