24 DIV TROOPS COME FORWARD TO REPAIR STORM AFFECTED HOUSES

With the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division, Major General Chaminda Lamahewa and with the supervision of the Commander 241 Infantry Brigade, a disaster relief operation was conducted on 11 September 2021 in storm affected Keselwaththa village in Damana DS Division. Commanding Officer of 11 SLNG and 01 x 20 troops volunteered to repair 21 houses which were partially damaged and to clear the blocked road network of the village.

Divisional Secretary Damana, Grama Niladari Dewalahinda GN Division, Damana DMC unit and the policemen of Iginiyagala Police station also supported the relief operation.
