In another community welfare project under the Civil-Military Coordination (CIMIC), the 233 Infantry Brigade in collaboration with Foundation of Lions Club in Batticaloa and Alcami Heavy Metal Private Limited organized a donation programme for grade 5 students in Kunjankulam, Madurankenikulam and Kirimatiyana area on Thursday (12).
A total of 27 students who are going to sit for the grade 5 scholarship examination received book packs, a laptop, a multimedia projector and free internet connection.
On aconcept of the Commander Security Forces East, Major General CD Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, the General Officer Commanding, 23 Division, Major General KANN Koswaththa RWP RSP ndu and Commander - 233 Infantry Brigade, Colonel RWK Hewage RWP RSP coordinated the event.
