MINISTER OF INDUSTRIES, SECRETARY DEFENCE AND SEVERAL SECURITY & STATE OFFICIALS INSPECT DEEGAWAPIYA STUPA RESTORATION PROJECT

Hon. Minister of Industries Mr. Wimal Weerawansa, Secretary Defence General (Retd) Kamal Gunarathna together with Secretary to Ministry of Public Security, Commander Security Force (East) Major General Channa Weerasuriya, General Officer Commanding 24 Division Major General Chaminda Lamahewa, Director General Civil Security Department, SDIG of Eastern Province, the Chairman of 'The Buddhist' Media Channel Ven. Vajiragnana Thero and Senior Officers from SLN and Police on Thursday 15 of July 21 made an inspection visit to the restoration project of Deegawappiya Stupa.

Subsequently, the officials visited the Ceylon Ceramic Corporation - Eragama Factory and Pallekadu Bricks Producing Site. Finally, the Chairman of 'The Buddhist' Media Channel Ven. Vajiragnana Thero donated 3 tractors and 250 hand gloves for the construction site.
