Batticaloa District Coordinating Committee for prevention of COVID - 19 pandemic held another meeting at the District Secretariat Batticaloa on 14 May 2021 presided by the GA Batticaloa, Mr. K Karunaharan, Director of Batticaloa Teaching Hospital, DIG of Batticaloa District, Major General Nalin Koswatte, the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division and Commander 231 Infantry Brigade.
Further, with the request of Batticaloa hospital, Major General Nalin Koswatte handed over a High Speed Micro Liter Centrifuge Machine to the hospital which was donated by Mr. Nallarathne in order to strengthen PCR testing during the pandemic.
