22 DIVISION TROOPS CONDUCT A 'SHRAMADANA' CAMPAIGN

Troops of the 22 Infantry Division recently organized a ‘Shramadana’ campaign at Jayasumanarama Temple in Trincomalee on 13 August 2020.

General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division, Major General CD Weerasooiya RWP RSP ndu initiated this programme and Brigade Commander, 221 Brigade, Brigadier WP Kariyawasam coordinated the programme.

Troops of 2 (V) Gajaba Regiment cleared all mosquito breeding places and surroundings of entire temple premises and it was highly appreciated by the Chief Priest of the temple.
