Commander Security Force (East) Major General Senarath Bandara, on Friday (17) received 1000 more Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) overalls as a donation from the Red Cross Society, Colombo.
The Director General of the Red Cross Society, Dr. Mahesh Gunasekara, the Chairman of the Red Cross Society National Headquarters, Mr Jagath Abeysinghe, the Secretary of the Red Cross Society Polonnaruwa Branch Mr Gamini Nandakumara and the Executive Officer of the Red Cross Society Mrs. Samanthi Wijekoon met the Commander Security Force (East) Major General Senarath Bandara and handed over the stock for distribution among Army personnel, engaged in COVID-19 control and quarantine work.
This stock is to be distributed among Civil Medical Staff and Army members who are employed at the Quarantine Centers and Special Treatment Units in the Eastern Province in order to facilitate maximum number of persons with standard medical procedures.
