A humanitarian assistance programme organised by 233 Brigade to distribute essential goods donated by the Lions club of Batticaloa was held at Koonjankulam village on 16 May 2020. 70 dry ration packs were distributed among 70 families of Koonjankulam village.
The General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General A G D N Jayasundara RWP RSP, The Lions club members including the Commanding Officer of 6th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and Civilians were present at the event.
