THE COMMANDER SF EAST VISITS FMA (E)

Major General Rasika Fernando, Commander Security Forces (East) made his second official visit to the Headquarters, Forward Maintenance Area (East) on 04 March 2020.

On the arrival at the Headquarters FMA (E), the Comd FMA (E) Major General Bhanuka Randeniya extended a warm welcome to the Comd Security Forces (East) and he was accorded with a Guard Turnout in accordance with military formalities. Thereafter Comd Security Forces (East) had a discussion with the officers where they had an opportunity to discuss matters pertaining to administration aspects, operational needs, welfare measures and requirements of the troops as well. As a symbol of memory, the Security Forces (East) Commander was then invited to plant a ‘Mango’ sapling inside the Headquarters premises.

Subsequently, the Commander Security Forces (East) visited 3rd Battalion of Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (3 SLEME) and saluted with a Guard Turnout after he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Major Kolitha Almeida. During the troops address, the Commander Security Forces (East) highlighted the importance of continuing training and good work while maintaining the highest standards of discipline at all levels. Concluding the itinerary of the day, Major General Rasika Fernando placed his signature on the Visitors’ Book.
