FOUNDATION STONE LAID FOR SHRINE ROOM AT TEMPLE PREMISES OF SF HQ - EAST

The Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Aruna Jayasekera laid the foundation stone at the auspicious time for construction of the proposed (Vihara Geya) Shrine Room at the Temple premises of the Security Force Headquarters (East) Welikanda, amidst chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by members of the Maha Sangha on Thursday (30).

The event was held under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent Buddhist Centre Welikanda, Ven. Delwita Mettalankara Thero. Colonel Thushan Ganepola Colonel General Staff SFHQ - E and Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.

Meanwhile, the Commander Security Forces – (East) attended the auspicious occasion of laying the foundation stone for the Stupa of Sudharshanaramaya Habarana on Wednesday (13) with the invitation of the Chief Incumbent, Ven Habarana Gnanasara Thero.
