"BUDDHANGALA SAMADHI BUDDHA PRATHIMA MAWATHA" WAS VESTED WITH BUDDHIST DEVOTEES

With the invitation of the Chief Incumbent of Buddhangala Aranya Senasana, Ven. Deegawapiye Susima Thero, Major General LM Mudalige RWP RSP ndu, General Officer Commanding 24 Division ceremonially declared open the newly constructed concreted road which leads from temple entrance to its nearby rock as ‘Buddhangala Samadhi Buddha Prathima Mawatha’ on 23 March 2019.

This road was constructed by the under command troops of 24 Division and the Engineer Service Regiment. Major Buddhika Dissanayake, Commanding Officer of 16 SLNG supervised and mobilized his troops to this construction under the directions of General Officer Commanding. The ceremony was held by the presence of Maha Sanga, Senior Officers/Officers & Other Ranks of 24 Division along with a gathering of Buddhist devotees.
