A programme, pertaining to ‘LEGAL AWARENESS AND COUNSELLING’ was conducted for the troops under command to 24 Division – Malwatta by Ms Medha De Alwis, a renowned lawyer and facilitator on 13 March 2019, under the guidance of Major General Mahinda Mudalige, General Officer Commanding, 24 Division.
Officers and Other Ranks of 24 Division attended the lecture to enhance their knowledge on ‘procedures to receive legal benefits, military management, law pertaining to family issues and its limitations, bonds and its implication, etc.
Similarly, attendees had an opportunity to clarify their doubts and educate on importance of family, personnel values and social behaviour. The whole programe was conducted in disscusion mode. Approximately 150 Army personnel, including both Officers and Other Ranks of 24 Division, 241 Brigade and 242 Brigade attended this programme.
