A donation programme of school items sponsored by Mr. T N Wijethunga of Maharagama was held at “Thilakawathiyar” Girls' Home Kadiraweli, on 02 January 2019 under the coordination of 233 Brigade Vakarai. This was an initiative aimed at supporting education of children and it was conducted in line with the series of community-oriented welfare programmes organized by the Security Force (East).
School items worth of Rs.50,000 were donated among the girls and it was very pleasing to see the satisfied little faces, delighted at the receipt of such valuable items. The Commander 233 Brigade Colonel Anil Samarasiri attended the occasion as the Chief Guest.
