COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (EAST) PAYS A FIELD VISIT TO FMA (EAST)

Upon assumption of the office as the Commander Security Force (East), Major General Aruna Jayasekera visited the Headquarters Forwarded Maintain Area (East) - Minneriya on Tuesday (11). The Commander FMA (East) Major General Manoj Mudannayaka, received the Security Force (East) Commander and was accorded with a Guard Turnout at the entrance by the troops of 3 Electrical & Mechanical Engineers Regiment. Then the Commander planted a sapling in memory of his first official visit to the premises.

As part of the day’s proceedings, Commander FMA (E) and staff along with the commanding officers of the logistic battalions briefed the Security Force Commander on administration and logistic matters and the coordination with various other agencies. It was a fruitful discussion in which functions of FMA (East) are being commended by the commander and insisted the continuation of commitment of all levels of command for an effective management of logistic and welfare of the troops.

The visiting Commander, addressing the troops highlighted the social and environmental factors that are being negatively affected for troops and spelled - out the values of self -discipline as the answer for many issues and instructed the soldiers to give priority for training and keep up high standards of discipline to face the challenges in future. Afterwards, the Commander attended for an all rank tea and concluded the proceedings leaving a complementary remark on the visitors’ book.
