REFURBISHMENT OF THE ST. JOESPH VAZ THEOLOGICAL CENTRE

In response to a request made by the Rt. Rev Bishop of Batticaloa, troops of 10 Gajaba Regiment serving in the 231 Brigade Batticaloa with the assistance of 4 GW, 11 (V) SLSR and 3 ESR troops completed the refurbishment of the St. Joesph Vaz Theological Institute at the Bishop House premises in Batticaloa. It was opened on 08 September 2018.

This project was carried out under the direct supervision of Commanding Officer 10 GR Lieutenant Colonel Ruwan Ehelepola, with the guidance given by Commander 231 Brigade, Brigadier Senarath Niwunhella, General Officer Commanding 23 Division, Brigadier Chula Abeynayake and Commander Security Force (East) Major General Santhusitha Pananwala. Religious Dignitaries, Officers, Other Ranks and a large number of devotees in the area participated in this event.
