‘The Eastern Cyber Tech - 2018’ exhibition, organized upon a concept of the Commander Security Force – East, Major General Santhusitha Pananwala with the view to identify and enhance the exclusive innovative talents of the Army personnel and the locals including scholars of ATIs (Advanced Technological Institutes) and school children of the area, commenced on Wednesday (15) at the Advanced Technological Institute Batticalola. This is the first attempt that an innovative exhibition of this nature is facilitated and endeavoured in the Eastern Province.
This exhibition inspired a number of new emerging inventors of Sri Lanka Army and the Advanced Technological Institutes of Batticaloa, Ampara, Trincomalee and Samanthurai operating under the purview of the Ministry of Higher Education & Cultural Affairs offering a good opportunity to showcase their achievements that can motivate them for further empowerment on their pursuit to obtain sustainability in innovation. ‘The Eastern Cyber Tech - 2018’, consisted of creative products of computing, electrical/lighting, hardware/tools, household, industrial and commercial categories innovated by the talented inventors, was opened by Major General Santhusitha Pananwala, Commander, Security Force - (East) as the Chief Guest, together with several Senior Officers after lighting the Traditional Oil Lamp.
This exhibition provided a rare opportunity for the troops and the locals in the area to grasp the idea of innovative thinking and creative values.
