A Cricket Tournament, aimed at strengthening the harmony and reconciliation among different ethnicities, concluded successfully at Kinniya Public Grounds on Saturday (28) amidst a large gathering of cricket fans. A total of 39 Sports Clubs in Muthur area participated in the tournament which was organized under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 22 Division Major General Aruna Jayasekara and Commander 224 Brigade, Colonel P Ediriweera.
After a tight encounter, Kinniya Sports Club emerged victorious in the final encounter held between Kinniya Sports Club and Muthur Sports Club.
The Chief Guest, General Officer Commanding 22 Division Major General Aruna Jayasekara awarded trophies among the winners. Eminent personnel including religious representatives in the area attended the event.
