Following an initiative taken by Commander Security Forces East, Major General Santhusitha Pananwala, lectures on Firefighting and Human Rights were conducted at the auditorium of Security Forces Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) on 28 and 29 of March 2018 with the objective of educating Army personnel on these aspects.
The lecture on fire-fighting conducted by Captain N D P I De Silva SLAOC, refreshed the knowledge of the attendees on importance of fire control and the usage of different types of fire extinguishers.
To be in line with the training day programme, Mr. M Rohitha Priyadarshana, Coordinator, Regional Office Anuradhapura - Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka and Coordinator, Regional Office Vavuniya, Miss. Niroshi Priyanga conducted an awareness session on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law on Wednesday (29). The participants in the training day programme were able to obtain knowledge on humanitarian law related to Army personnel.
