Major General Santhusitha Pananwala, Commander Security Forces (East) made his maiden visit to the Headquarters of Forward Maintenance Area (East).\r\n\r\nOn the arrival to the FMA (E) Headquarters, the Commander FMA (E) Major General Manoj Mudannayaka extended a welcome to the Commander SF (E) and he was accorded with a Guard Turnout in accordance with military formalities. Afterwards, a Mango sapling was planted by the visiting Commander to mark the day.\r\n \r\nSubsequently, the Commander SF (E) delivered a comprehensive speech on the importance of making the best out of the valuable opportunities available in the Post Conflict Era to obtain the sustainability of the Sri Lanka Army. His speech was based on his vision of Commitment through Motivation. He emphasized the vitality of the management principles - Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling. In the logistic arena, it was highlighted to take action identifying the priorities with coordination and preparedness and he made the troops aware that it is more essential to work in coordination with stakeholders and establishments of team spirit. Further, the Commander SF (East) urged them to continue their good work while identifying discipline, patience and listening as their strengths to become competent and skilled Officers and soldiers. The Commander requested all the Officers and Other Ranks to refrain from irregularities, malfunctions and wrong practices to enhance the image of the Sri Lanka Army. Moreover, in compliance with the vision of the Commander of the Army, he elaborated the significance of discharging duties based on Capacity Basis rather than Threat Basis. \r\n\r\nSubsequent to the troops address, SF Commander attended an all rank tea, and signing of visitors\' book. Finally, Commander SF (E) paid a courtesy visit to the Military Hospital Minneriya and distributed gift parcels to patients who are under treatment. \r\n
