23 DIVISION CELEBRATES THE 68TH ANNIVERSARY OF SRI LANKA ARMY
1. Headquarters 23 Division and under command Brigades celebrated the 68th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army with participation of GOC, 23 Division Maj Gen HWSDB Pananwala RSP ndu and all ranks on Tuesday (10) Morning.\r\n\r\n2. In line with the anniversary ceremonies, 23 Division fulfilled the requirement of much needed equipment (Book racks), library books and stationary for children of Thilahavathiyar Girl’s Home at Kathiraweli. At the same event, children were entertained with music and offered a special lunch. 231 Brigade organized a blood donating camp at Brigade Headquarters and conducted a shramadana at Vipulananda Elderly Home while providing lunch followed by a medical clinic. 232 Brigade conducted a shramadana at Kulawadi Elderly Home and entertained the adults of Elderly Home at Dehiattakandiya with snack and tea. 233 Brigade conducted a blood donating camp at Brigade Headquarters respectively. \r\n\r\n3. The day was concluded with Bodhi Pooja organized by Division and Brigade Headquarters with the participation of all troops.\r\n\r\n
