23 DIVISION DONATED 100 WHEEL CHAIRS TO NEEDY PERSONS IN 23 DIVISION AREA
1. 23 Division with the support of Mr Priyan Pushpakumara donated 100 wheel chairs to the needy people in 23 Division area on 17 July 2017 at the 23 Division premises. Mr Priyan Pushpakumara spent about 2 mil rupees for this project which helped these 100 persons who were suffering to move freely to attend their day to day activities easily. This special event was graced by the Commander Security Forces ( East), Major General Nandana Senadeera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu as the Chief Guest. General Officer Commanding of 23 Division. Major General HWSDB Pananwala RSP ndu, senior army officers Government officials of the area, Religious dignitaries and a large number of civilians around the area also participated to the event. The donor reputed businessman Mr Priyan Pushpakumara along with Commander Security Forces ( East) and General Officer Commanding of 23 Division donated the chairs to the beneficiaries. The event was coordinated by Commanding Officer of 17 SLLI (V), Major E Eric de Zoysa. \r\n2.
