FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT OF COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (EAST) TO 23 DIV AND UNDER COMMAND FORMATIONS
Commander Security Forces (East) Major General Nandana Senadeera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu made his first official visit to HQ 23 Division and its under command formations on 20 and 28 April 2017.\r\nThe Comd SF (E) was warmly welcomed by GOC 23 Div, Maj Gen Dammika Pananwala RSP ndu and in accordance with the military formalities; a Guard Turnout was presented to the visiting new Comd SF (E).\r\nSubsequently, the visiting Comd SF (E) planted a mango sapling to mark his first visit to the HQ 23 Div. Later, the Comd SF (E) participated in a briefing and the GOC 23 Div presented a detailed account on operational and administrative aspects in 23 Div AOR and updated him on duties, responsibilities and tasks carried out by the troops.\r\nThereafter, the visiting Commander addressed officers and other ranks of HQ 23 Div and it’s under command Bdes and Bns. During the address Comd SF (E) share his views with the troops of respective HQs and urged them to continue their training and good work while maintaining the highest standard of military discipline.\r\nAt the end of the program, he attended an all-ranks tea and the Commander SF HQ (E) placed his signature in the Visitors\' Book to mark his visit.\r\nDuring the two day visit, Comd SF (E) covered all the Bdes deployed under 23 Div and met all Bde Comds and Bn Comds. At the meetings of Bde/Bn Comds, Comd SF (E) had the opportunity to inspect and have a dialogue about the admin and welfare facilities of the troops. Further, he inquired into the basic facilities which are available for troops.\r\nWith the culmination of the visits, the Comd SF (E) did not forget to endorse his complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book before leaving from respective Bde and Bn Headquarters.\r\n
