FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT OF COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (EAST) TO THE FORMATIONS DEPLOYED IN 22 DIVISION
Commander Security Forces (East) Major General Nandana Senadeera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu, made his first official visit to the Brigades and Battalions deployed in 22 Division AOR on 17th and 18th April 2017, after assumption of duties as the Comd SF (E).\r\n\r\nOn arrival at the HQ 22 Div on 17 April 2017, the Comd, SF (E) was warmly welcomed by the GOC 22 Div, Maj Gen Aruna Jayasekara WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc and accorded with a Guard Turnout in accordance with military formalities at the main entrance. Visiting Comd SF (E) met all Brigade Commanders, Battalion Commanders and addressed the troops serving under 22 Division. \r\n\r\nThereafter GOC 22 Div briefed on operational and administrative aspects as well as welfare facilities of the troops. All Brigade Commanders and all Battalion Commanders were present during the briefing. Followed by the briefing of GOC 22 Div, Comd SF (E) planted a Mango sapling to commemorate his maiden visit and participated to an all ranks tea at the Other Ranks Mess of 22 Div. In the afternoon, Comd SF (E) culminated the first day of the program by visiting HQ 2 (V) GR and HQ 6 VIR.\r\n\r\nThe second day of the visit of Comd SF (E) at 22 Div, commenced with HQ 224 Bde on 18 Apr 2017. On arrival at HQ 224 Bde, Comd SF (E) was warmly welcomed by the Comd 224 Bde Col Mohan Ratnayake RWP RSP. Afterwards, the Comd SF (E) called at the HQ 24 SLNG, 15 SLLI, HQ 222 Bde, and concluded the day’s program by visiting HQ 5 (V) SLA, 22 VIR.\r\n\r\nDuring this two day visit in 22 Div AOR, Comd SF (E) visited all Bde/Bn HQs and had discussions with all Comds with a view to identify their grievances, difficulties, their views on various operational, administrative matters and welfare facilities of Other Ranks as well.\r\n\r\n
