22 Division joined hands together with civilians in the area to celebrate the Sinhala and Tamil New Year at the Orr’s hill grounds on 08th April 2017.\r\n\r\n 22 Division GOC, Senior Military Officers, Senior Government officials in Trincomalee and Senior Police Officers participated as guests.\r\n\r\n A large number of civilians participated in the festival which included many sports and games, such as, placing the eye on the elephant, grease - pole climbing, tracing of hidden guest, tug of war, musical chairs, fancy dresses, Counting of papaya seeds, \"kotta pora\" sigithi Awurudhu kumariya/kumara and Awurudhu kumariya/kumara.
