MEDICAL CLINIC AND DONATION PROGRAM FOR NEEDY - CONDUCTED BY SFHQ (E) AT VILAYAYA CENTRAL COLLEGE - ARALAGANWILA
\"The physical wellbeing of a person affects his or her mental and emotional happiness\". Focusing on the same initiative, the second consecutive Special Medical Clinic in SF (E) area of responsibility was conducted by Susarana Lanka Social Development Foundation of Malwatu Maha Viharaya, Kandy on 25 February 2017 at Vilayaya Central College – Aralaganvila. The program was conducted in response to a request made by the Comd SF (E), Major General Darshana Hettiarrachchi RSP USP ndu psc.\r\nThe Health Camp, attended by a medical staff including Specialist Consultant Doctors was organized for the benefit of the civilians who do not have the access for proper medical facilities in the area. It consisted with clinics of Cardiology, Pediatrics, Surgical, VOG, Skin, Eye, ENT, Dental and Chronic Disease of Kidney as well as for Non Communicable Diseases. \r\nIn parallel with the slogan of the Susarana Lanka Social Development Foundation, “Be a refuge unto Other”, a donation program was conducted at the same venue distributing stationary packs for 100 x school children, dry rations for x 50 low income families, essential items among 10 x Temples with low infrastructure facilities, donation of basic requirements among 05 x Pre-Schools and Scholarships for x 02 students of GCE A/L.\r\nMaj Gen Darshana Hettiarrachchi RSP USP ndu psc, Comd SF (E) graced the final donation program as the Chief Guest. The Hon President of Susarana Lanka Foundation, Ven Galahitiyagoda Sumanaratne thero, Dr Saman Walisinghe, Dr Lalith Rajapakshe, GOC 23 Div, Comd 231 Bde, and several officials of Susarana Lanka Foundation attended the program.\r\n
