COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (EAST) VISITS INFANTRY TRAINING CENTER AT - MINNERIYA
Commander Security Forces (East), Major General Darshana Hettiarrachchi RSP USP ndu psc visited the Infantry Training Centre at Minneriya on 23 February 2017, with a view to ascertain the functions at the ITC at present. Upon the arrival, the Comd SF (E) was extended a warm welcome by Brig Sumith Atapattu, Comdt (ITC) and honoured with a Guard Turnout by the troops saluting him with the military traditions.\r\nDuring the course of the visit, the Commander SF (E) exchanged his views with the instructors on matters pertaining to the training and had a camp visit inquiring the existing basic facilities available for instructors and trainees. Addressing the troops, the Commander urged to continue their eminent training that is essential for a professional Army, while maintaining the highest standards of military discipline at all levels. \r\nFollowing the lunch at the Officers’ Mess, the Comd SF (E) left a complementary remark in the visitors’ book culminating the day’s arrangements\r\n
