THE 69TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION OF SFHQ (E).
Security Force Headquarters East celebrated 69th Independence Day at the Headquarters premises by unfurling the National Flag and the National Anthem was recited as the flag was on the full swing. Just after, two minutes silence being observed in memory of the fallen War Heroes. \r\nCoincide with the Independence Day celebrations, troops joined hands together to clean Welikanda Railway Station and Hospital premises during two days Shramadana campaign organized on 02 and 03 February 2017 with the guidance of Maj Gen Darshana Hettiarrachchi RSP USP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces (East)\r\nDuring the event, the troops cleaned, removed garbage and all other unwanted elements in the surrounding of the Railway Station and Hospital premises. 01 x 60 and 02 x 45 troops took part in these events respectively. \r\n\r\n
