\"BODHI POOJA PINKAMA\" HELD ON DURUTHU FULL MOON POYA DAY
On Duruthu Poya day, nine months after the Enlightenment, the Gautama Buddha, set foot on our land- Sri Lanka for the first time. \r\nMemorizing this great historical event, a Bodhi Pooja program was organized by the troops of the Security Force Headquarters – East, on the instructions of Major General D D U K Hettiarrachchi RSP USP ndu psc, Comd SF (E), on Duruthu Poya Day (12) to transfer merits on fallen War Heroes and invoke blessings on Army personnel serving under the SFHQ – (E).\r\nShasthrapathi Rajakeeya Panditha Ven Galmulle Sugathawansha Thero, conducted the Bodhi Pooja programme and delivered a Dhamma sermon.\r\nComd SF(East) , number of Senior Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.\r\n\r\n
