COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (EAST) ATTENDS A CONCERT OF DIFFERENTLY ABLED PERSONS IN BATTICALOA DISTRICT
\r\n1. Security Forces Commander (East) attended a concert of differently abled persons at Valachchanei in Batticaloa district on 23 December 2016. The event was organized by and organization known as \"VALVIN UTHAYAM” at Valachchenei.\r\n\r\n2. Later, SF Commander was invited to address the gathering at the event and Comd SF (E) stated that he is closely working with \"VALVIN UTHAYAM\" organization to upgrade the living standards of persons with disabilities in Batticaloa district. Further he stated that approximately 7000 such persons are living in Batticaloa district and stressed the necessity of a Rehabilitation Centre for them. Comd SF (E) also stated that District Secretary of Batticaloa has already promised to release a 1 acre plot of land to construct a Rehabilitation Centre for the disabled persons in Batticaloa district. \r\n
