\r\n1. Major General DDUK Hettiarrachchi RSP USP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces (East) after assumption of duties in his new appointment made his first visit to 23 Division Headquarters, 231, 232 and 233 Brigades on 23 & 24 November 2016. \r\n\r\n2. On arrival at the 23 Division Headquarters, General Officer Commanding Major General HWSDB Pananwala RSP ndu, warmly welcomed the Commander Security Forces (East) and he was accorded with a guard turnout in accordance with military formalities. Visiting Commander Security Forces (East) met all Brigade Commanders, Battalion Commanders and addressed the troops serving under 23 Division. \r\n\r\n\r\n3. Thereafter General Officer commanding of 23 Division briefed on operational and administrative aspects as well as welfare facilities of the troops during the SF Comds visit. All Brigade Commanders and all Battalion Commanders were present during the briefing. Afterwards SF Comd participated to a all ranks lunch at the Other Ranks Mess of 23 Division. After all ranks lunch on 23 November 2016 ,SF Comd visited the 233 Brigade.\r\n \r\n4. On 24 November 2016, the Commander Security Forces (East) visited 232 Brigade - Thoppigala and 231 Brigade - Batticaloa. The Brigade Commanders warmly welcomed him and briefed / discussed factors pertaining to operational/administrative aspects, in their respective Brigade areas of responsibility.\r\n\r\n
