SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (EAST) CELEBRATES VESAK FESTIVAL IN GIANT SCALE
SFHQ (E) organized a series of Vesak events starting with Bodhi Pooja and Vesak Zone at Welikanda town.Bodhi Pooja, Belimal Dansala and Bhakthi Geetha programs were organized on 21 May 2016 while exhibition of Vesak lanterns were done from 21 May 2016 to 23 May 2016. Bakthi Geetha program conducted at walikanda town added glamour to Vesak zone. Army men and women solider with Suwarnaopali Dahampasala at sewanapitiya jointly presented the Bakthi Geetyha program. Opening of Vesak zone had took place by the Comd SF (E) Maj Gen KMU Wijeratne USP ndu with eminent people from local authorities on 1900 hrs on 21 May 2016.
