Security Force Headquarters (East) celebrated its 12th anniversary in grand scale with a series of programes commencing from 26 to 31 Oct 15. Religious observances at Somawathiya Temple with \'Kapruka pooja\' and a pooja at Mahasen Dewalaya at Minneriya were the opening events of the programme conducted in the light of obtaning blessings for all troops in SF (E) AOR. A blood donation campaign was also held at the SFHQ (E) premises on 29 Oct 15 where 170 Officers and ORs donated blood in this meritorious deed.rnFurther, newly constructed Library of Security Forces Headquarters was declared open by Commander Security Forces (East) Maj Gen NJ Walgama RSP VSV USP ndu psc at an auspicious time on 31 Oct 15 followed by Tree Planting at the headquarter premises. All Ranks Lunch was organized with the participation of Commander Security Forces (East) and finally the anniversary celebrations conclouded with a musical extravaganza.
