PROVIDING PROSTHETIC AND ORTHOPAEDIC SERVICES FOR RETIRED, MEDICAL BOARD OUT ARMY PERSONNEL
A programme for providing of prosthetic and orthopaedic services was held for retired and medically board out Army personnel who are using artificial limbs on 29th and 30thJanuary 2015 at 7 SLA Minneriya. This was organized by the FMA (East) under the direction of SFHQ (East). Participants were given an opportunity to rectify the defects of their artificial limbs during a two day technical support programme. In addition to that several representatives from Dte of P & R, Dte of VA, Dte of Welfare, Dte of Legal and Dte of Medical Services were also participated for the occasion to solve the adminis trative issues of participants related to respective directorates. About 75 military personnel have benefited from the programme.
