    The General Officer Commanding the 24 Infantry Division, Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, upon arrival after receiving his new insignia as a Major General on 04 February 2023 was warmly welcomed by the Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the 24 Infantry Division and under command Brigades and Battalions on Monday (February 13).

    To support the country’s drive to ensure food security, the 23 Infantry Division cultivated 50 acres of paddy during the “Maha Season” with the direction of Commander Security Forces (East), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi, and the supervision of General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General Shewanth Kulatunge.

    The Chief Signal Officer and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General H M L D Herath RSP USP psc visited 2 (Volunteer) Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps at Dalukana on 28 January 2023. This was his first official visit to the 2 (Volunteer) Regiment after assuming duties as the Chief Signal Officer & the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signals Corps.

    234 Infantry Brigade troops of the 23 Infantry Division under the Security Force Headquarters (East) launched a programme to distribute school accessories, each pack worth over Rs. 3000.00 for 77 students studying at Galoya Maha Vidyalaya Galoya, during a simple occasion on Thursday (Jan 19), held at the school main hall.

    With the blessing and guidance of the Commander Security Forces (East), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachch, and instruction of the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General Shewanth Kulathunga, and close supervision of Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, with coordination of the Civil Affairs Officer 231 Infantry Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Dammika Weerasinghe, the 11th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment has organized essential items for the disabled persons and spiritual goods donation programme.
