  • MATHEMATICS SEMINAR FOR O/L STUDENTS

    A mathematics seminar for 215 O/L students was held at Cultural Hall, Alayadiwembu, Akkaraipattu, under the direction of Major General HCL Galappathti RSP USP, General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division. Troops of the 11SLNG under the command of the 241 Infantry Brigade coordinated the event, with two Thirukkovil lecturers conducting insightful sessions to enhance students' mathematical skills.

  • CLEAN SRI LANKA PROJECT: DISTRICT SECRETARY OFFICE AMPARA ORGANIZES GARAGE DUMP CLEANING PROGRAM AT BUDHANGAL

    On 15 February 2025, the District Secretary's Office of Ampara, in collaboration with government officials and the Sri Lanka Army, organized a successful garbage dump cleaning program at Budhangala, Ampara. This initiative was a part of the ongoing Clean Sri Lanka Project, which aims to address environmental challenges by promoting cleanliness and waste management across the country.

  • COMMANDER 221INFANTRY BRIGADE CONDUCTS BATTALION VISITS

    The Commander 221 Infantry Brigade, Colonel EWRSB Ehelepola USP USACGSC conducted an official visit of the 20 Gajaba Regiment at Pulmuddai and the 2(V) Gajaba Regiment at Fort Frederick, and respective detachments on 18 and 19 February 2025. During both visits, he addressed troops and inquired about their duties and administrative requirements. Whilst commending the present duties, Commander 221 Bde, gave necessary instructions and guidance for further improvements. In addition, he witnessed the Riot control drill and opened a new accommodation block at the Officers’ Mess of 2 (V) Gajaba Regiment.

  • BLOOD DONATION PROGRAMME ORGANIZED BY THE 241 INFANTRY BRIGADE

    Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General P R Pathiravithana USAWC psc and following the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division,troops of the 241 Infantry Brigade conducted a blood donation programme in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Base Hospital Akkaraipaththu at Athaulla Arangam Hall, Municipal Council Akkaraipaththu, on 6th February 2025.
