    The Sewa Wanitha Branch of RHQ SLCMP, considering the living condition of an under privileged family in the general area of Girithale, a project was launched to erect a new shelter for them on the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel Rasadun Withanaarachchi - Commanding Officer - 2 SLCMP and under the guidance of the Commander Security Force (East) and Commander FMA(E).

    On the directions of the General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division, Major General Nalin Koswatte and with the supervision of the Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarachchi, 231 Brigade troops provided assistance to renovate and expand the Covid -19 diagnostic laboratory established at the Teaching Hospital Batticaloa.

  • 5 (V) SLAWC TO ASSIST GOVERNMENT'S PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC FERTILIZER

    Following the concept of his Excellency the President to ban the use and import of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides to promote the use of organic fertilizers in the country, the troops of 5 (V) SLAWC recently initiated a project to produce 160,000 kg of organic fertilizer on the directives of the Commander Security Force (East) Major General Channa Weerasuriya.

  • DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATION PACKS AND LUNCH PACKS IN BATTICALOA DISTRICT

    Under the guidance of Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarchchi, a programme was organized to distribute dry ration packs and lunch packs worth of Rs. 2500.00 (Each pack) among under privileged families of Muneikadu south at Kockadicholei in Batticaloa district on 11 June 2021.

  • DISTRIBUTION OF LUNCH PACKS IN BATTICALOA DISTRICT

    Under the guidance of Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarchchi, lunch packs were distributed for poor people living in Batticaloa Town, Kattankudy, Eravur and Ariyampathy on 08 June 2021. Troops of 4 GW and 11(V) SLSR battalions conducted the programme by distributing the lunch packs at above mentioned areas.
