In a remarkable display of community spirit and solidarity, the headquarters of the 241 Infantry Brigade at Akkaraipattu organized a Vesak Lantern Exhibition with the participation of the 11 SLNG, under the guidance and supervision of Major General WLAC Perera, RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 24 Infantry Division and Brig LSDN Pathirathna RSP USP Commander 241 Infantry Brigade on 23 May 2024, saw an impressive turnout of both civilians and military personnel, underscoring the commitment of the brigade to serve not only in the classic role but their esthetic ability.
The event witnessed large numbers of Muslim and Tamil residents in the Akkaraipattu area attending. The event received widespread appreciation, especially from civilian participants alike. Major General Anil Perera expressed his gratitude to all the troops who provided their contribution to the success of this event.
