Troops of Security Force Headquarters (East) organized a medicine and necessary equipment donation promgramme to a temple of infirm monks at Sri Bodhirukkarama Temple on Friday (January 27) with the blessing and direction of Commander Security Forces (East), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi.
These items which were donated in the donation programme were donated by Mrs. Yasomi Pathirage and Inoka Kariyawasam who is a resident of Australia and it was coordinated by Miss Shashikala Gunarathne From Dahamli Foundation and Miss Nadee samarasinha From Manusath Hadawath Foundation with the Coordinator of the Chief Coordinator of Civil Affairs of Security Force Headquarters (East) Colonel Rajiv Fernando. A worth of over than Rs.100,000 Items of , wheelchairs, electronic equipments, bed sheets and medicine items were donated during the programme.
Commander Security Forces (East), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi graced the occasion as the chief guest and Chief Coordinator of Civil Affairs of Security force Headquarters (East) Col Rajiv Fernando, civil affairs officer Security force Headquarters (East) Lieutenant Colonel Prabath Halpage with other ranks of Security Force Headquarters (East) attended to the programme.
