TROOPS OF SF (E) ORGANIZED AND CONDUCTED AN EDUCATIONAL TOUR FOR THE CHILDRENS

On the concept of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, directions of the Chief Coordinating Civil Affair Officer, SF (E), Colonel Rajiv Fernando and close supervision of the Civil Affair Officer SF (E), Lieutenant Colonel Prabath Halpage, troops of Security Forces (East) organized and conducted an educational tour for the Children of “Sri Dharmapala Pubudu” Preschool at New town, Welikanda.

The programme conducted on 01 October 2022 in parallel with the “World Children’s day.” For this programme 43 Preschool Children, 43 Parents and 03 Preschool Teachers were participated. During the tour they have visited Ruins of Polonnaruwa (Gal Viharaya, Watadage, Thuparama Stupa, Thiwanka statue) and Children Park at polonnaruwa.

Troops from SF (E) and 5 (V) Sri Lanka Army women’s Corps joined with the event and transport requirement was facilitated by the Security Forces (East). Meals and other essential requirements were provided by the Army Troops.
