Troops of the Security Forces (East) conducted a comprehensive Eastern Beach Cleaning Program on 29 July 2025, as part of the Clean Sri Lanka initiative.
“Clean Sri Lanka Beach Cleaning Program – to protect our shores, preserve marine life, and create a cleaner, greener future!”
The 22, 23, and 24 Infantry Divisions, operating under the Security Forces (East), actively participated in the program.
The Commander of the Security Forces (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, along with the District Secretary Mrs.J J Muraleetharan, government officials, police personnel, and representatives from non-governmental organizations, joined the event.
In addition, General Officer Commanders, officers, other ranks, members of civil organizations, and civilians contributed to the success of the beach cleaning initiative, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental protection and community collaboration.
