TROOPS PLANT 200 MANGROVES AROUND NADATHIVU LAGOON IN MUTHUR

The 15th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry under command to 223 Infantry Brigade launched a project to plant 200 mangrove saplings covering the Nadathivu Lagoon of Muthur on Saturday (25).

The project was launched in collaboration with the Department of Coast Conservation and Coastal Resource Management Office of Muthur and with the participation of 15 SLLI troops who volunteered to support the project.

Lieutenant Colonel Ravindra Rajaguru Commanding Officer of 15 SLLI, Major Nalin Kadadhara Second In Command of 15 SLLI, Mr Aruna Gamage an officer of the Department of Coast Conservation and Coastal Resource Management Office and Troops of the 15 SLLI attended the programme.
