100 number of underprivileged families residing in Dehiaththapitiya Yaya, Jayamuthugama and Yaya 03 at Aralaganwila area and 100 number of school students of their Families were gifted dry ration packs and English - Sinhala Dictionaries respectively at Mahaweli Cultural Hall, Aralaganwila on 27 August 2022 with the sponsorship, provided by Mr. Prasad Lokubalasooriya who lived in Gampaha.
The donation programme was conducted on the concept of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General GRRP Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu. The beneficiaries received 100 dry ration packs each worth was Rs. 5000.00 and their children received 100 English - Sinhala Dictionaries each worth was Rs. 2500.00 on the same occasion.
The Commander, Security Forces (East) together with, the General Officer Commanding, 23 Division, Major General S A Kulatunge RWP RSP USP psc, Brigadier General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (East), Brigadier MKSSP Jayasinghe RWP RSP, Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs and Civil Affairs Officer of SFHQ (E), Officers and Other Ranks attended to the programme.
