Troops under the Security Force Headquarters East, giving prominence to community projects, constructed yet another house for a widow at No 73, Nagasthenna, Nawamahasenpura, Welikanda. \r\n\r\nTroops of 3 Mechanized Infantry Regiment initiated this meritorious deed of constructing a house for Mrs. D M Kumarihami, a widow who was living with her young daughter in an unsafe and decayed house for a long time. The construction of the new house was done as per directions of the Commanding Officer 3MIR, Lt Col J M A Jayasekara RSP USP and it was formally handed over to the mother and daughter by Major General D D U K Hettiarrachchi RSP USP ndu psc, Comd SF (E) at a brief ceremony held on 13 Feb 2017.The untiring efforts of the troops of 3 MIR contributed to make this event a success. \r\n
